Case study

Villas GAL

A bilingual website and a direct booking flow for an eco-villa on the north coast of the Dominican Republic.

Villas GAL is my own property in Cabrera. I operate the villa, and I designed and built its public website and the reservation tools guests use there. This is not an independent client engagement.

What the business needs

Guests find the villa through the website, Instagram, Airbnb, or Vrbo. They need a clear picture of the property and of Cabrera, and a way to reserve directly with the villa.

The public site is how that works today: the property story, photographs, nearby places, restaurants, a guest guide, and a booking page that shows which nights are open.

What is published

  • A marketing website in Spanish and English. A fresh visit opens in Spanish, and the header includes a language switch.
  • Sections for the villa, a photo gallery, nearby activities, restaurants, guest reviews, and contact by WhatsApp and Instagram.
  • Links to book on Airbnb or Vrbo, plus a direct booking page. Direct booking is organized as dates, guests, a quote, payment, and confirmation. The page says a direct reservation is paid in full up front and shows the cancellation window before the guest continues.
  • Separate public pages for a guest guide, the cancellation policy, commercial filming inquiries, and creator collaborations. Those inquiries are separate from a lodging reservation.

The public site

What a visitor can do

  • Read about the villa and Cabrera in Spanish or English.
  • See which nights are available, booked or blocked, or unavailable, and start a direct reservation.
  • Continue to Airbnb or Vrbo, or message the property on WhatsApp.
  • Open the guest guide, the cancellation policy, or the separate pages for commercial productions and content creators.

How it is built

The marketing pages are a static website. Direct booking and the availability calendar are custom functionality on top of that site.

A custom booking system is scoped and priced on its own. It is not included in the standard informational website package.
